.....and a Bonza New Year !!!

We headed into Sydney for Hogmany and met up with friends Byron and Hsin for the New Year celebrations.  To get us into the mood we headed to Manly beach for a spot of surfing and a picnic.

We then headed back to Byron's place at Mosman, North Sydney to get ready for the celebrations.  First up though was a ride on Byron's Harley Davidson motorcycle.  A ride across on the Harbour bridge on Hogmanay you cannae beat that !!

We headed down to Kirribilli across the bay from the Opera House and found a great spot to watch the fireworks.

What a fantastic night.  We never got back to Byron's till 2am, so next day we chilled and went for a morning on Shelley Beach.  For dinner we went to China town and had a great meal, followed by some Taiwanese dessert (Tofo, Green beans, Peanut and brown sugar sauce, its not as bad as it sounds !!!!).

Later in the week we went for a family day out to a beautiful place called Currarong.  We had a fantastic day bush-walking, snorkelling and swimming on amazing beaches.

Another activity we did was a  27 mile cycle from Wollongong to the Kiama Blow hole with Steve, which was great fun but pretty hot.  For details of the route click HERE.

We certainly had an action packed new year.  We were supposed to be relaxing for the holidays in Australia !!!
