A Night at the Zoo !!

Before we left Australia Angela and Steve organised a special treat for us : A Roar and Snore at Taronga Zoo. This is a fantastic experience where you get to enter the Zoo at night, have dinner then get to go round and see what the animals get up to in the evening.  You sleep in a tent in the Zoo over looking Sydney Harbour.  The next morning you get breakfast then a chance to go round the Zoo, behind the scenes and see the animals being fed before the public get access.

First we had a lovely drive up the coast to Sydney through the Royal National Park.

Sea Cliff Bridge on the drive from Wollongong to Sydney.

Then it was off to the Zoo for Roar and Snore .........

We were supposed to be relaxing and taking a travel break on our time in Australia, however it turned out to be very busy and a great time.  It was brilliant meeting and getting to know Gillian's family in Australia, they really made us feel part of the family and we hope to see them all again before to long.  Big thanks to Steve and Ange for putting us up in their house !!!!

Well its time to get back on the road again, and this time it's into the unknown for us : South Africa !!!!!
